The Barbados Film and Video Association was formed in February 2008 by a group of television,film and video enthusiasts.
Its aims and objectives include encouraging the implementation of standards in the industry,providing training for members and the creation of opportunities for members.
The membership now stands at approximately 45. Provision has been made for full members – those with two or more credits, associate members and student members.
The President of the BFVA is Penny Hynam with other members being Andrea Allan, Ronnie Carrington, Christopher Cooke-Johnson, Lynette Eastmond, David Green,Oriel Nicholls, Mahmood Patel, Alison Saunders-Franklin, Rivelino Simmons and Larc Trotman.
It will great to see how this shapes and develops in 2010.

Since this post the BFVA has had its AGM and the Board of Directors has now been changed. The President is now Rivelino Simmons.
